What’s new: Microsoft has begun rolling out the beta version of its AI-powered Gaming Copilot to Windows 11 systems for users aged 18 or older, excluding those in mainland China. This feature acts as a “personal gaming sidekick,” providing in-game assistance, game recommendations, and insights. It will also be available on the Xbox mobile app for Apple and Android users starting next month.

Who’s affected

Windows 11 users aged 18 and older, excluding users in mainland China, will have access to Gaming Copilot. Xbox mobile app users will also be affected when the feature rolls out next month.

What to do

  • To use Gaming Copilot, install the Xbox PC app and open the Game Bar using the Windows logo key + G. Find the Gaming Copilot icon in the Home Bar to log in to your Xbox account.
  • If you prefer not to use Gaming Copilot, you can remove it from the widget list in the Game Bar settings.
